ILSX 1338 on E&LS
E&LS crew approach Hall Ave. as they sort cars at the former MILW yard at Crivitz (originally Ellis Junction), WI on 30 Sep. '14. I would like to learn more about that little 25-ton Plymouth, but haven’t had any luck so far.

I have been researching that little Plymouth since I saw it on vacation in August. Look up the Pioneer & Fayette Railroad. It used to be locomotive 102 for them before being sold to a Canadian garden and being relabeled as the fictititious "Buckwheat & Durham Railroad" 1, hence the B&D. Apparently there is no record of it post 1996, so that is interesting.

Oh my, I had to smile a bit when seeing the old Pioneer & Fayette unit. I had been inside the cab of the old girl when she use to sit down at at Franklin Junction just outside of Alvordton Ohio. This is where the unit originally came from. They had just rebuilt it and gave it a new paint job(black with white strips and numbered 101). It had sat unused for so long(in the sixties after the second owner had it)that the small building it sat in fell down around it. I have a picture of it being used in the early fourties when it was operated by its original owner.(just before they went out of business) if you are interested.

Awesome, finally some info on the "Crivitz Critter"! Glad to see it was still around as recently as 2014.
