This little 0-6-0 switcher was built by Baldwin in March of 1929 originally as Jackson Iron & Steel 0-6-0 #3. After serving the JIS, it ended up as a shop switcher at the Baldwin Locomotive Works. Somehow, this little switcher ended up at the Age of Steam Roundhouse in Sugarcreek, OH, where it was part of a trade deal with Steamtown USA of CN #1551 in 1986. The little switcher was restored to operational service for Steamtown tourist trains. In December of 1999, it was pulled from operation but returned in December of 2015 for the 2016 Railfest. During its overhaul, it was painted green. No photographer or date was given for the photo. |
