An eastbound intermodal train crossing the old scenic stone bridge where Indian Creek meets the Youghiogheny River. The train did not have any mid-train or rear DPUs. In the ever changing world of CSX, they seem to be leaning back towards only using power on the head end. To get the proper angle for this photo, I had to walk about 30 feet out over the river onto a large fallen sycamore tree. All part of the risk / reward of doing photography! The foliage in the mountains is now at peak color. Heavy rains forcasted from a Noreaster the next three days will probably ruin the remaining leaves. |
