Portraits 6. Here is a steam locomotive portrait via Harold K. Vollrath that was taken in Chicago, Illinois, in July of 1947. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8699, a B-6S (0-6-0) switcher built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as a B-6 during June of 1913, rebuilt in Juniata as a B-6S in January of 1927, and retired in June of 1949 after 36 years of faithful service.
