"Philly's Personality Trains," Page 15, 1948         
Here is page two of a four-page article by Al M. Rung, Jr., entitled "Philly's Personality Trains." It was published originally on the January 1948 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 15. Photo Caption: "The 'clocker' from New York has just arrived, and inbound passengers tramp down the platform to disappear into downtown Philadelphia." Partially visible at the right is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4871, a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) built in Juniata during December of 1938, rated at 4,620 horsepower, and retired in February of 1968 after 30 years of faithful service.
