D&H signals  Contributor's Pick!
We see 165 rolling north behind a typical set of 40s, with 91 cars in tow, at GR cabin. This was one of my favorite spots to catch a northbound. It was easy to get to, right off NY 7 in Afton-and made a good prop. It was also close enough to Binghamton to chase here, get the shot and get back. A bonus was that there were often meets here, which meant a train both ways. These signals will be replaced by NS, who now owns the line, and one more distinctive feature of northeastern railroading will vanish.
