RF 65  Contributor's Pick!
I was knocking around Nassau County, shooting whatever rail activity I found, and went up on the platform at Hicksville. Freights on the Island at the time were a some time thing, and could be really unpredictable, since they were shoehorned between the many commuter trains. So it was pure dumb luck I caught this RF 65 coming in from off the Central Branch with a pair of MP 15s, the power that would lead this train for most of the next 30 years, and a short train. Note the Pennsy influence in the position light pedestal signals at the end of the platforms.
