This camelback locomotive was built Alco-Schenectady in January 1907. It had the unusual classification of J-55½ after superheated in 1923, scrapped in 1933. Of the one humdred five built for the Lehigh Valley, several lasted into the late 1940's. Leo D. Orsbern photo. The date is approximate. |
