The Illusion Of An Approaching Train  Contributor's Pick!
The PGR 36 waits on the west side of the 35W bridge on a gorgeous early afternoon in late April. It was sitting unmanned due to the PGR's "push/pull" operations on the line utilizing units at each end of their trains. At this moment the crew was using PGR 34 to switch their freight house, leaving the 36 to create the illusion of an oncoming train down at the bridge. I still kept my distance regardless. Better safe than sorry, folks.
