Looking into Oshkosh from the South Oakwood Road grade crossing along the Wisconsin and Southern. The line is former Milwaukee Road from Horicon to Oshkosh. Visible in the photo are WOW Logistics to the right and Lapham-Hickey Steel to the left. Both are rail customers. Over the crest of the hill, the rail ends at a loading ramp for loading Oshkosh Corporation vehicles and Bemis has a large operation on this side of town also. The Bemis facility has a trailing point spur for trains headed toward Oshkosh, these turnouts would be facing. |
