| Augusta-Port Royal Local arrives at Yemassee, SC. The Train will drop off some cars before heading east to Beaufort and Port Royal. It is the Summer of 1984 and I am trying to get as many Pictures here as possible. The line to Port Royal is up for abandonment, so I am documenting operations here. The line will be sold however, and service will continue. It was somewhat strange to see the big SD units operating on the branch here. The rail was quite light. Later, the line was upgraded west to handle more traffic. |
