| D&RGW F7 5641 at Denver Union Station, Denver, Colorado on August 27, 1965, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Number 5641 was built in July 1949 (c/n 8357) on EMD Order E1157, was sold to PC on February 28, 1970. The PC purchased a total of 10 D&RGW F-units, found four units (F7A's 5721, 5754, and F7B's 5712, 5733) in good mechanical condition and kept them for service. The rest (F7A's 5641, 5691, and F7B's 5642, 5662, 5663, 5673) were traded to EMD on GP38 Order 7202. |
