| At one time Othello Washington was notable as the place where the Milwaukee Road switched from steam (and diesel) to electrics, which would take the road's traffic to Tacoma. It's now 1989 and the electrics are long gone as are almost all other signs of the once proud Milwaukee. Only Washington Central RR remains, with a single SW1200 and eight cars waiting for a crew on a dark and dreary May day. |
