Louisiana Midland RS1 1111 |
Description: |
Louisiana Midland (LOAM) RS1 1111 was parked at the railroad’s headquarters in Jena, Louisiana. This was one of three former Gulf, Mobile & Ohio RS1 units acquired by the LOAM from the Illinois Central Gulf when it purchased this line in 1974, and it was the only one repainted in these LOAM colors. The 1111 went to the Chattahoochee Industrial Railroad in 1979 and then to Conrad Yelvington at Miami, Florida in 1992. |
