Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #2533, #2532, and #2531. All are GF-25's built by General Electric in 1964 and rated at 2,500 horsepower each. They are passing WORKS Tower with a westbound ore train.

They have just passed under the 4th Street Bridge with a westbound ore train. The water tank is all that remains from the Steam Age when there was a small coal/sand/water point here. 7th Street Bridge is visible in the distance.

Description:  7th Street. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Altoona, Pennsylvania, during August of 1965. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #2533, #2532, and two other units whose numbers are not recorded. #2533 and #2532 are both GF-25's built by General Electric in 1964 and rated at 2,500 horsepower each. They are about to pass under the 7th Street Bridge with a merchandise freight train on their way to Enola and points East. Visible in the center distance are some of the PRR's 12th Street Shop buildings.
