There were two newsworthy events at the DSRX this past summer. First the railroad began operations with a VIP run on July 24th followed by commencement of routine passenger operation on July 31st, 2010. These two milestones marked 5 years of hard work by the team of volunteers of which this reporter is a summer time member. The ridership thru early September was very successful. Second was the arrival of DSRX 1055 an Alco from the Conway Scenic RR.
