| Album Info: | These photos are of a CSX local freight on the Frederick Branch. This three point four mile branch was rebuilt a few years ago to accommodate MARC commuter service to two new stations, one in the town center, Frederick Station at MP 3.4 and Monocacy Station between MP 0.8 and MP1. At Monocacy Station there is a seldom used run around. I happened along I70 just as this train with its single covered hopper was heading south towards Frederick Junction. I was not aware that there was any freight activity on the Branch beyond Wicks Lumber near MP.7. /DL |
