The SWP shortline railroad goes from Greensburg (Westmoreland County) to Smithfield (Fayette County). It uses branches that were originally CSX (B&O railroad before that) and also Conrail (PRR before that). It branches in various directions from here: Hunker to Yukon, Everson to Mount Pleasant, Everson to Connellsville Township, (coal line), Everson to Broadford, and Connellsville to Smithfield. The parent company of the SWP is Carload Express of Oakmont, PA. |
