| Album Info: | The New York Connecting Railway (NYCR) is a freight line that operates via the Hell Gate Bridge and through Queens, NY and connects the NYA Railway Fresh Pond Yard and the LIRR with the the mainland rail system. Owned by CSX and also known officially as the Fremont Secondary, CSX and CP run daily trains on the line and P&W with seasonal service, which was built in 1917 to provide a direct freight line to Long Island via the Hell Gate Bridge. |
