| Album Info: | A glorious and breezy Sunday takes me once again to Pine Junction. After passing under the EJ&E main on US 12 near Gary-Chicago Regional Airport and seeing several orange SDs of the "J" in my rear view mirror and being unable to turn around to get some decent shots, I was a bit frustrated. But as luck would have it, I was able to catch a different EJ&E movement into Kirk Yard near the junction for my first shots of the elusive "J". The action was intense for about the first hour and a half but then completely died. A CSX freight sat just east of the junction the whole time I was there with no other movements on the CSX main. All trains on the NS were eastbound oddly enough. |
