| Album Info: | The Monarcy Station is the next to last MARC Staton on the Frederick branch. This branch was rebuilt in the late 90s. Service resumed about 2000 with 3 eastbound and 3 westbound daily trains into Washington DC. Travel time into Washington is about 1.5 hours with 9 stops via Point of Rocks and the CSX Metroploitan Sub. The Frederick Branch is off the B&O Old Main Sub and was the first town of any size serviced over this ROW by the B&O back in the early 1830s. |
