Note on back of photo by photographer Anthony H. Perles states "CNR 5071, class J-21, on train 44 for Quebec." Built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in January of 1913 as GTR #191 (Serial #51903, GTR class P5), it was renumbered in 1923 when CN absorbed the Grand Trunk. It became #5071, CN class J-3-b. The loco was retired in June of 1959. |

Description: |
Note on back of photoby photographer Anthony H. Perles states "CNR 5595 (4-6-2) on mixed train 219, as it meets train 238. Taken from cab of CNR #80." CN 5595, was built by the GTR shops as GTR 223 in 1912, GTR class P3. When it was absorbed into the CN roster in 1923, it was renumbered #5595. The loco was scrapped in June of 1957. |

Great double header action shot taken by Anthony H. Perles. Note on back of photo states"CNR 5585 and 5143 (K-3) starting a westbound coal drag at London & Port Stanley interchange." Info on CN 5585 - Built by GTR shops, 1911, nee-GTR 210, boiler #1510, GTR class P1, renumbered by CN in 1923 to #5585. The loco was retired in August of 1956. Info on CN 5143 - MLW, June of 1920, J-4-e class, boiler #61878. The loco was retired August of 1961. |
