| Album Info: | B&O C-2888 caboose being used by Lima Allen County Convention & Visitors Bureau for a Tourist Information Center. Located at the back of Howard Johnson Inn on Roschman Avenue by I-75 exit 125 which is the St. Rt. 309/117 Harding Highway exit.
From the CVB website "Lima/Allen County's seasonal Tourist Information Center pays tribute to our railroad heritage. The "Little Blue Caboose" stands as a symbol of the importance of the locomotive in Lima´s emergence as an industrial powerhouse. Our tourist information center pays homage to our city´s greatest triumph."
Update 2020: This caboose has been moved to Simmons Field, the home of the Lima Locos baseball team. Simmons Field is located on Heindel Avenue in Lima. |
