Album Info: | We boarded the train before sunrise for the 8 AM departure from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Gotta feel sorry for the folks who bought tickets for the day before - cold, dark, windy, raining - But for my wife and I, on Friday, October 9, nothing but sunshine and blue skies - despite a very short, light rain in the late afternoon. As the train moves past one colorful vista after another, you have a fraction of a second to visualize a shot, aim your camera, adjust for light and horizon, and snap. Fortunately the windows on the train were pretty clean.
These pics are just of the Agawa Canyon tour train locomotives, and trains seen along the way.
Paste this link for the pics from the train of some really fine fall colors.

Shots are in chronological order, so you can ride along and watch the sun rise, with the early morning shadows, and frost on the leaves, through the morning and afternoon, with the last shot about 5 PM. |
