| Album Info: | The last 4 axle, high horsepower offering from EMD was not a success, especially when compared to the GP40-2. A 3800hp 4 axle loco was thought to be too slippery by many. NS originally used them on hot intermodal trains, but they were eventually pushed into secondary service by 6 axle units. Now they are assigned to local jobs. |
