ELS 101878 at Noffke Lumber |
Description: |
A boxcar is not what is normally seen for a rail car at Noffke Lumber. The typical car seen spotted here is a center beam flat. To the me, it was especially nice to see it was a car from our local northern railroad serving Wisconsin and the UP of Michigan. |

A car is spntted for pulpwood loading at the former CNW yard in Oshkosh. Though it is not very common, once in a while, a car is spotted here for loading. This former CNW yard was torn out in the summer of 2016. The property still retains this car spot and a run-around/short passing siding track on the south side of the Fox River. The defunct Buckstaff furnVture factory can be seen in the background, another reminder of Oshkosh's once thriving lumber based business. |

Waiting for a load of pulpwood at the former CNW yard in Oshkosh. The CN tore out+the yard, which is situated in the foreground of this photo (the lighter, jointed rail) in the summer of 2016. Industry that would require rail service has been on the decline in Oshkosh since the 1980's. The defunct Buckstaff furniture factkry in the background serves a testament to that fact. |

Description: |
A load of plate steel waits to be unloaded at Leeco. Leeco is served by the WSOR via former Milwaukee Road rails into Oshkosh. This car has been shoved through the Leeco building, off spot. It will need to be pulled back into the building (off shot to the left) to be unloaded. The Silver Star Brands (Miles Kimball) mail order facility is the large pole building in the distance. |

United Co-op Elevator and WSOR Terminal |
Description: |
Looking west along the line at Oshkosh into the United Co-op (ADM, and before that Olsen)facility and WSOR (WATCO) terminal. Late spring saw some construction activity pick up at the elevator. Though the construction was in a location not readily seen from public access points, over the summer it was readily apparent what was going on. United added two huge bins which dwarf the largest ones in this photo. A new surge bin is also being added which seems to have the capacity of the left front bin. The Clairville Road/State Highway 91 grade crossing can be seen at the horizon of the road bed. |
